I've been reading around on here for a while and I decided that it is finally time to attempt my own build. I came up with this:
• Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151175
• Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119115
• CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103847
• Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128394
• Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227298
• Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341016
• Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136074

I came up with these parts based on the "New Build Guide" Budget Build, but I made a few changes. I was wondering I this would still work and if so, what would be a good GPU to add to it and are there any suggestions for swaps for better parts that would keep me around this budget?

whats your budget? you got about $400 in parts there. You said you needed to add a video card right? so...whats the max you can invest?

if you can spend the extra money then this is a very good build. a single 5770 is a very solid card for gaming (from personal experience) although it does perform very similarly to a 4850 i believe

Thanks guys that helps a lot and I think my brother will be able to get me an OS for cheap through his school. Would I need to get any extra heatsinks, fans or thermal compound or anything else to start building it once i get all the parts?
