run any app off a USB drive?

Hey, guys, do you have the experience of running your daily used apps off a USB drive?

Which is I am now trying to do. But I find that only portable apps can be run like that.

while some apps like MS office are not portably available. How can I do that?

Quite Simply, you can't.

Only portable apps will run off a USB drive and like you pointed out MS Office isn't one of them for good reasons. Portable apps are typically freeware so it doesn't matter if you tote em around. Heavily copyrighted programs like MS Office are by no means looking to become portable. If you're looking for a portable Office suite though, I would recommend OpenOffice Portable.

For example the U3 dongles only support software designed for them, you can't just install anything on there.
