Services and Controller app problem followed by crashes

I honestly don't know if a registry backup will do the trick, from what I remember about those guys, everything they did was custom and they wrote all their own shit and were pretty badass about it. Hell if the hacker was good enough he may have found a way to infect the computer without triggering any alarms. I would suggest getting a network monitor of sorts and when you connect to the net, so what your upload/download volume jumps to

Personally, I would backup everything to a CD or external CD drive, and then reload windows.

I'll have to copy Comodo IS to a flash drive then transfer it because of the net thing. I keep seeing a bunch of scvhost.exe (sorry if I spelled it wrong) about 8 which is a bit alarming but Sysinternals doesn't show any unknown process running in the background. How would you install a network monitor and where can I get one? Sorry about really not knowing anything about my problem, but this one really hit me by surprise.

I don't know about the network monitor, but have 3 or 4 svchost.exe 's running isn't unusual.
