I think he would be alright cause it comes with a 850w Thermaltake power supply. And the reviews don't pan the power supply and most list it as a pro on newegg.

The motherboard he picked out supports a dual channel, not a tri channel memory set.

I didn't bookmark the site but I posted it a couple days ago the difference between dual channel and tri channel memory at this point is tiny. But I thought all the 1366 chip boards were set up for tri channel?

Actually, the benchmarks between dual and triple channel, while not amazing, are still significant. It may not look that different on paper but benchmarks show otherwise.

All Socket 1366 i7's have a tri-channel on-die memory controller and the motherboards will allow tri-channel operation.

Also you will only notice the difference between dual/tri channel operation on an X58 board when heavily editing in real life applications. Trust me, it does make a difference.

EDIT:

I've just looked at the OP's final build list and while on the subject of memory i'm going to say this. If the OP is adamant on running dual channel RAM then I suggest running a P55 chipset motherboard and the i7 860/i5 750. Otherwise get a tri-channel RAM kit.
