Hey so i'm kind of a newbie about computers, and I'm really looking a somewhat compact music inclined windows laptop, and I cant really find the best one that i'm looking for, I'm willing to go up to 1500 dollars. I figured I'd ask you guys because I'm sure you're experts on this subject

Well I know you asked for a laptop, but I'm going to reccomend a desktop reason being is a lot of my customers have asked for a music based machine like you and they have loved this one! It's in dollars for you.

It depends on the OP's use for a 'music computer'.

I wouldn't want to lug a desktop to different recording locations to multi-track performing artists/performers. That's where a nice laptop with a fast hard drive comes in; take it to a session with your audio interface, hook everything up, get the tracks down and take it away with you. You then can do the editing on the laptop or move the files to a studio if you wish.

Also there's a few tweaks i'd perform on a machine before I feel it's suitable for trouble free audio production/editing work.

The Dell machine is ok but I don't consider the specifications suitable for audio production/editing. They're pretty much run-of-the-mill rigs.

Having said all that the OP can obtain a purpose built laptop from an audio specialist builder.
