My desktop literally render all mouse useless

i should be able to figure out the id of it

I am sill perplexed has to why it only affects the mouse.

I plug it in any of the usb port the computer has and it fails.

But the keyboard works fine, no letters missed or anything and my external hard drive also play without any trouble.

Why can the motherboard recognize all of them but not the mouse.

And it physically destroys them like i said, when i use the mouse that i use on my computer on any other computer they act the exact same way. Unplugging plugging back sound telling me the usb device is not recognized.

Alright i have another theory on whats causing the problem and wanted to know if its possible.


Could it be the mat i use to scroll my mouse on that could break them?

Because twice since i started the thread i cleaned the optical laser under the mouse with my toothbrush and the problem stops completely for a while.

The mat is about a year old and all my mouse died on it.

Ill buy another mat and another mouse to test and let you guys know.

BTW i was thinking of buying an xbox controller for pc to play games like SplinterCell/Con but i was hoping for advice.

An xbox controller or a joystick?

nothing beats mouse aiming tho

That certainly is an interesting hypothesis! Not saying it's entirely impossible though. Heck, get a new mouse pad and see what happens
