I have a Samsung 32inch from 2002 its the one with the big back. But one day i tried to turn it on and nothing, so i took off the back checked the power button, it works, checked the fuse, its good. I pluged it in with the back off and i hear a clicking sound, i cant locate where its comming from. So what should i do to fix this.

By "nothing" does the light not even turn on?

Long shot, but sounds like it could be a power supply failure.

Off the top of my head it sounds like it died of old age or maybe a power surge. Now days it's cheaper to toss them and get a new one.

Could be a capacitor issue. Some previous Samsung televisions were plagued with this issue, but it wasn't as far reaching as 2002 if I recall.

My husband says it could be an arcing problem (capacitor or transformer). Do you see any sparks or flashes of light? If so, replace the part or board where the light/spark comes from. My husband use to repair TVs so I believe what he says is true.

Best of luck!
