No internet, Dell inspiron e1405

I have TRIED everything. I've downloaded every possible driver and none work. My girlfriend gave me her old laptop and I thought hey, why not. Installed windows 7, cant get on the internet. I can't even pick my own wifi signal. I've been trying to get this to work for about 5 hours and all I've got is a headache. Someone please! help me get this working. Dell has got to be the worst EVER.

the laptop is Dell inspiron e1405.

What drivers do I need to gain wifi and internet access.

i cant help with this, but as well, my WiFI card on my desktop dosnt work with W7 either...

my eithernet port is broken, any way to fix it? the pins got messed up. as for wifi, someone told me that the dell minis die out easily and i assuming thats what happend here.
