I was wondering if this was a good build for mid to high end gaming

The build looks good and the HD5770 will be fine at 'average' gaming.

I'd look at a HD4870 if you can do without the DX11 support, otherwise it has to be at least the HD5850 for 'high end' gaming.

i did almost that exact build except i used the 890GX and 1600 MHz ddr3 and it ran everything you would throw at it even crysis on the maximum settings. so yeah thats a pretty good build

Thanks for the responses. This is what I've got now:

You could also consider this psu:

Corsair makes rock solid power supplies

its actually a rebranded seagate :p

I'd drop the 5850 and get a GTX 460 1GB version. They're quite a bit cheaper than the 5850s and run faster than a GTX 465(which is about even to a 5850)

and I also would drop the 1200 and get a HAF X or a cheaper silverstone case. The 1200 is overpriced and its interior is really cramped compared to other full sized cases

According to this benchmark, the 460 is in a completely different league than the 5850.

EDIT: Upon further investigation, there may be some truth to this, here is a list of some benchmark links:
