Re-Format Help! :(

Trying to reformat and reinstall Windows XP Pro for my mom. Ive done this probably 10 times before with different computers with NO problems. But for some reason after it says " Press any key to boot from CD " I do that. It goes through all the checking/loading of stuff on that "blue" screen, but it says " Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer " What do I need to do next?

Maybe the hard drive is set up in the BIOS to run in SATA mode instead of IDE mode?

Have a look in the BIOS. If it is change it back to IDE mode.

Its a HP laptop not desktop

Make sure it is plugged in properly...I have done this before and Like Remeniz said check in the BIOS.
