Ok, hi there.
I'll be looking into getting a new system soon (my P4 isn't going to cut it much longer) and here's what I need:
4GB+ DDR3 preferred
500GB+ HD
Light gaming (COD4 and Company of Heroes, mainly)
Around $550
I've got a couple of things that I'd like to carry over from my current setup. The first is a cheap IDE DVD burner. No biggie. The second is a PCI M-Audio 24/96 audio card, so I'll need a slot for that.
Also, I'd like to add an ATI Radeon 4850 to the mix so I'll need space for that as well. With this in mind, I'm thinking an off the shelf business/home desktop that will become a semi-gamer with the addition of the ATI 4850. FWIW, I've got a dual 22" monitor setup so I'm A-OK there.
From my admittedly cursory research, I'm leaning towards the i3/i5 line over AMD, though nothing is set in stone at this point.
Thanks for any and all suggestions in this matter!
