Sound problems -_-

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my sound.. only one side comes out.

The most sure fix would probably be getting a new sound card.. as it seems like the on-board sound card on my asus P5QL is screwing up.

But the weird thing is.. if I unplug my power supply for a while, and put it back in.. the sound starts to work again.. ??

I believe I am using a VIA HD driver.

Anyone know why this would be happening?

oh, and did I mention that the sound eventually screws up again.

Have you tried reinstalling the audio driver?

yea, i have.

I think its a problem on the hardware side.

Have you tried restoring to an earlier point? (System Restore)

It sounds like you're having a port or plug issue. If you jiggle the speaker plug a bit does it change anything?
