How tough are HDDs

Well I purchased the drivers at .03 a gig. That's a bargain! It was from a friend and they worked when I pulled them out of the system with my two hands.

He needed the money I had the money.

I don't rely on overly huge hard drives. I prefer smaller clusters that make data loss much less damaging.

One HDD works, one doesn't

The 750 Gig Seagate is gone the 500 gig WD is still going strong with no SMART errors

What was the date of manufacture on the Seagate, if you still have it, out of curiosity?

I believe the HDD is from 2007. Not entirely sure (not going open up my case to find out either) I just left it in there and on my PC i put a note not to put any data on it.
