going from tv to computer??

I am an electrical contractor and have a customer who has a security camera that was at sometime suppose to be hooked up to her computer. Her husband was the one that installed it, but her husband has passed away. She wants me to see if I can get it running again. The problem is that the manufacture of the camera that she has installed, says it was meant to be run through a tv or monitor. Does anyone know of a USB device and program that would allow this??? Thanks a lot
