Alright I decided I'm going to go ahead and buy a new rig.

My budget is $2,100 (yes odd bonus I know) $100 of this will be dedicated to a decent set of speakers which I have to get locally because of 220v requirement.

CM690 Advanced Case $89.99

Antec 750 Watt PSU $99.99

X58 MOB $209.99

6 GIG High Quality Ram $209.99

Intel I7 930 CPU $290

5870 GPU $400

WD 1 TB drive (times 2) $189.99 (I did find a 2 TB for $189.99 but I figure having two separate drives is better then one single big one.

Intel x25-m 80 GIG SDD $215

DVD Burner $29.99

G15 Keyboard $89.99

Creative Sound Card

Cooler Freezer Pro 7 CPU Cooler

Total cost is coming out to about $2058 shipped (My shipping is $135)

It would all work but here are my suggestions:
Get a 212+ instead of the cooler youre getting, dont get it from newegg though because they inflate the price.

Unless you want really high quality sound then you can drop the sound card, the x58 chipset has good sound built in.

Otherwise it looks like a great build

Ok i'ma go ahead and drop the sound card. I've never had issues with onboard sound.

Drop the SSD. All it will do is help you boot faster, and not by much. Instead, just RAID0 two 1TB caviar blacks.

Use the $200 saved from the SSD to upgrade the 5870 to 5850 CrossfireX.

I would also replace the G15 with a decent keyboard. Something with mechanical switches.

I had a g15 at one point and it was pure crap. The macros dont work so you might as well get a regular keyboard

And i wouldnt recommend raid 0, i had it at one point until a drive failed. Get 3 hard drives and put them into raid 5.

I have a logitech wave I'm going to keep for now when I need a new keyboard I'll go buy one. I also changed my ram (I found identical specs by a diff company for about $60 less)
