I just bought a laptop and it has 4gigs or ddr3. Will I notice any improvement by upgrading to 8 gigs. Its windows 7 home premium 64bit.

There will be no difference.

The only reason you would notice a difference is if you are using all 4gb currently, which I highly highly doubt you are. So, no, it's not likely that you will have any speed increase.

Maybe if you were running a few virtual machines before...

For general use, no you wont see an improvement. Now if you were running CAD programs and doing some video or picture editing, the extra memory would help.

Okay thank you. U saved me a couple hundred bucks then lol. I just use it for gaming and I do some video editing with adobe premier
