Where Do I Start?

Hi there all,
I recently picked up a dirt cheap computer system, it's old, but it's a start, and it was cheap! :D

Got an old P4 2.8ghz system with 1gb of memory. And now looking to upgrade it slightly.
So after much research myself, I have found:

http://www.saverstore.com/product/2...le---AMD-Dual-Core-AM2-X2-5200--1GB-DDR2-nVid

and

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/190541

Would either of these be a good start?
I will mostly be using my computer for WoW, internet and PropellerHead's Reason software.

My computer has a 250w PSU too, so I am thinking of getting one of the above bundles, then getting a new PSU and graphics card.
I am on a fairly low budget, which makes things fun, so I am looking for reasonable priced stuff, and in steps, so I know what to buy on each pay-day! ;)

Cheers for any help/advice

Kris

Your going in a great direction. I like how you want to get rid of the P4. It is such a power hog. Is there a reason why you are going AMD?

cheers for the encouraging words!
Glad i've managed to point myself in the right direction! lol

Nah, no reason for me leaving the Pentium wagon, but the above AMDs where about the best I could find for my around a hundred pound price range. I will keep looking though, as it will take me a little time to get the funds, but i'm thinking those offers may be hard to beat.
Unless someone can prove me wrong? :)

If i were you, I'd save up and not get a bundle, but the best parts for your money individually.

That 1GB of DDR2 just isn't going to cut it. 1GB is only good for internet browsing. DDR2 is starting to show it's age too.

I see, those bundles i've come across seemed like really good value for me, so I didn't really look around at individual parts too much.
But when I get chance, I will have a look and see what is about that way and see what I can get!
Cheers
