Well I can get a HD 4890 or HD 4870X2 for a little more than a HD5770 that performs nearly as good as a HD5850....

Ok you gain DX11 but....

Technology will pass every card. Buy one that you can afford that will play your current games awesomely and play future games well. Buying the cheaper one now means buying another one sooner.

It's over your budget though: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 465

MSI Twin Frozr OC GeForce GTX 260 are nice performing cards, but they lack DX11 support.
