Hey, my toshiba satellite stopped working and i decided to try putting in an old hard drive from my dell inspiron into it, everything worked fine but it said i needed install the hardware, but i could still access all my files, and the wifi won't work, it says it can't find any networks etc.
Do i need the discs i originally got with the dell or is there some way of sorting it out?
Cheers

You can go to the manufactuer's website and dowload the drivers you need for the wireless.

ah i put in the model no. for the wrong laptop, the hard drive i took out was a dell : 1525-1319

Hard drive doesn't matter. The WiFi has it's own card. The make/model of the laptop is what matters, not the hard drive. (Which, as was previously pointed out, AR already linked for you.)

thankyou, that should work, I'm no comp. genius, just to stop a waste of time when i try to install them, how do you install them?
