Processor upgrading and video card help!!!

I have a Compaq Evo D510, and i want to start playing old games. I want to upgrade to a 3.2 GHz processor but i don't know what kind i need. I also need an Nvidia graphics card. Please help! Please ask if you need any more specs!!!

here are my specs:
2.4 GHz processor
250 GB HDD 7200 rpm
1.2 GB RAM (upgradeable to 2)
64 MB video memory
Just ask if you need more

I am going to upgrade to 2GB RAM
I also don't want to buy a new computer so please answer the above questions and let me know how i can further upgrade it (if possible) to get a more enjoyable gaming experience! Thank You!!!

You'll need a Pentium 4 processor to upgrade

Those are your best bets, unless you want to get a more powerful Pentium 4 processor (your choice). Might want to be sure to get some extra thermal compound to re-apply the cpu heatsink when you get the new processor.

Can i go higher upgrading the processor? If so can you send me the link to ebay that has a reasonably priced processor that would still work in my system? Thanks

I guess if you find a good computer on ebay thats ddr 2 memory compatible i would appreciate if you sent me the link if you think its smarter to buy a new computer than upgrade!!! Thanks

What kind of budget would you be willing to pay for a new computer? I'm afraid upgrading the old one probably isn't as cost effective as buying a new one, particularly as the newer pci-express video cards are less expensive compared to the older agp cards.
