Best GPU for around $100 today.

Friend is not willing to buy a 5770 like i told him. He wants something cheaper but still can handle games. Something around the $100 range.

Thinking 4850 or 5670? What about nvidia cards?

The only game I know he likes to play is Mass Effect 2. He's not hardcore at gaming, just likes playing ME 2 and I quote " I aslo want to play some other games to just not at super quality"

4850 or Gts 250. The 4850 has the performance edge in most games, but I think they will be about the same in ME2.

Don't get a 4850 with the stock reference single slot cooler. Those things run way too hot.

^ shouldn't be a problem because nobody makes the reference 4850 anymore.
