is it possible to wire a laptop monitor to a vga or dvi cord so i can put it on my computer. i have the monitor apart just wanted to know it it was possible or not,

you usually can plug your external monitors cord into a VGA/DVI port on you laptop but i dont think you can wire a laptops screen to work on a desktop computer, if thats what your asking

I have searched for a way to do this, but from what I have seen, it is not possible, short of wiring your own connection.

There is a program you can use that can make your laptop into a network monitor. I'll see if I can find it.

yeah the mobo is shot and the batterie is shot to . so what i waanted to do, is take the old monitor out and the use it as a second monitor,

Sorry, there is no commercial product available for that.

It would be a hell of a project too if you wanted to build your own converter.

No. The signal type is different if I understand correctly.

It's a cool idea, though. I've got a few spare laptop screens. Hey, take this scenario: I've got a laptop screen, and a LCD desktop monitor about the same size. The LCD is shot on the monitor. So, my question is, Can I put the laptop LCD in the monitor using the monitor's existing wiring and circuitry?
