Which Athlon 965?

Yes it is, but I am going to buy the other unrevised one, use it and update bios and then return it for the 15% restocking fee.

I could buy the cheapest am3 processor possible, but there is almost no telling what is revised and what is not and what is suppoted by my motherboard because I have no idea what bios version is on it. There are three or four different possibilitys it was shipped with.

You should be able to go to the manufacturer's site and see what CPU's are supported.

I still dont know the bios that the motherboard was shipped with. It looks like at min is the 201, which the 140W Phenom 965 will work with, but notice it takes bios 605 to run the 125W one I have. And there are more then a couple updates between those two bios versions.
