reformat question

how do you reformat a hard drive to take Win 7 using win 7? I loaded win 7 to a lappy hd and now want to format a Western Digital hard drive to put win 7 on it.

Delete the partitions, then create a new one.

Should work, just do not use the quick format option.

i reformated it without having the quick format checked and tried to load windows 7 and still it wont work. It says "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style." What do i do?

Partition it to MBR.
