eSATA question

I have a CM Haf-932 and it has a eSATA on the outside top of the case, i looked on the motherboard and i dont see a eSATA could i use a regular SATA port? My mobo is a ASUS P6X58D-E.

Yup. I have a CM Storm Scout with the same thing on it. Just plug it into a SATA port on your motherboard. Mine came with a pre routed SATA cable, I just needed to plug it in, I don't know about yours though. I would imagine it's the same since it's Cooler Master as well.
 
yeah mine came with a wire too, just didnt know if plugin it in a reg. SATA would work or not.
 
eSATA = external SATA. It's simply an external SATA connection that can be connected to any available SATA port on the motherboard.
 
The port itself doesn't. But any device that's connected to the eSATA port should have it's own power supply.
