whats up guys im looking to up grade my video card to something a little better then what i got know. i have about 250 to 300 dollars to spend. i want to be able to play games and do bluray movies. i want to be able to play ff14 when it drops and call of duty black ops,

i know i want to go ati and recommendation u guys have. i have a 750 cosair ps. and window 7 64 bit. and 12 ddr3 ram. let me know what u guys think. thats a lot

Go for the 5850. It's within ~5% of performance of the 5870 when flashed.

The difference between a 5850-5870 bios and 5870 will be almost unnoticeable, but the price is $120 less.

And do not buy a 5830. Epic ripoff at its current price. The card is only worth about $190 imo.

Not at all, and it's a one time process. Even if you move it to another computer it will keep the same BIOS.

You could also overclock the 5850 and achieve the same results.
