First Build, Any Problems?

I was planning on Crossfiring the graphics cards, but when I looked back at the motherboard specs it said that even though it had 3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots, they were in x16, x8, and x4 modes. Does this mean I can only have one graphics card?

That motherboard supports 3 way Crossfire (3 video cards). But I think you would be better off buying one faster card like an HD 5850 than running two HD 4850's in Crossfire. The HD 5850 also overclocks on par with HD 5870 performance. Plus, the HD 5000 series cards DirectX 11.

Yup. Definitely go with an HD58XX card instead. The 5770 is also a fantastic option, it's a very powerful card. But the 5 series are more power efficient, cooler, and faster, not to mention they have DX11 and EyeFinity (can use 3 monitors from one card). I was always an Nvidia guy, but this last series of cards really switched me over.

It's expensive, but I figure it will be able to keep up for longer.

Another question, is my PSU excessive? Could I get away with a less powerful unit?

EDIT: Another question, will the graphics card even fit? The case is a mid-size, and the card is 10in. long

That's a nice choice. Sapphire makes a great video card.

Your PSU is fine, and at that price, it's hard to beat.

Yes, the card will fit. The Rosewill Destroyer case has plenty of room for that card.

Just thought of another question, if I get a processor that I can unlock two more cores on will it halve the processor speed?

No it won't half the speed but it is not a guarantee that it will be able to unlock the other cores. It is kinda luck of the draw with that, they lock them because they are faulty but sometimes people get lucky and get good cores locked. They will run at the same speed as long as they are stable and in many cases you can overclock them more too. But like I said it is all luck of the draw
