How much worth are these over 3.0GBPS?

The only time I can picture it making a difference is if you have a very fast SSD or the new WD velociraptor.

Even then, it should not be much of a difference.

Kinda what I was thinking, but afraid of.

I didnt even know it was out, I was like YES COOL. Then I did a little research and was like awwwhh.

It's just a faster bus, not a faster drive. So there really isn't much we should be concerned about yet. It's sorta like when PCI-e x16 2.0 came out I guess.

I'll be honest; I never found a significant change from ATA/100, to SATAII, so SATAIII won't be much.

At the moment, there isn't much that can take advantage, AFAIK.

The only things that stands out the most is SSDs, and the Gigabyte i-RAM.

Is the 3.0 interchangable with the 6.0? I am looking at a motherboard that has three 6.0 ports but doesnt say if it has any 3.0 ports... so will it work with my 3.0 hard drives/
