I sold the TV I wanted to use as a 3rd monitor. So no, I wont be.

Unless I get another TV, but I would need to do that first and that is way more then a mobo so sli right now is the least of my worries.

I am a little confused. What does SLI have to do with a third monitor? You wanted to do Geforce surround vision? It kills performance from what I hear. Eyefinity is a much better option.

You could always just throw some cheapo card in for it though, and it will run at x4 on the 770 chipset. Or you could get a HD 5xxx and it can run three monitors by itself.

I wish I knew more about motherboards.

I am not sure what to look for to make sure that the two USB ports on computer case will hook up to the motherboard?

I am now thinking this mobo......

Any motherboard should have usb headers.

Both boards look good, but I am not sure how well they will overclock.

I think I will go with the 870, because it looks like it is more so for an overclocker newbie.

not sure I like the sounds of ''auto oc genie'' though. I thought I wanted to do that manually. I guess we will find out. Worst case senario I could return it for store credit and probably loose a few dollars and get the 770.



Although. What is your opinion on the Biostar TA790GX 3+?

Biostar boards are pretty meh from my experiences. For overclocking, definitely go with the MSI.

Well I can get the biostar for 60 from a buddy. I think I want brand new though.

I will do either of those MSI boards. Havent decided yet.

As for a video card

That video card... Just no. Post up a budget for the GPU. I could help you find one.
