What board are you going to get?

I highly recommend the MSI 790FX-GD70. Newegg usually has OB ones for like $120.

I wanted a 790, but I dont know if I want to shell out that kind of money.

Honestly though, I dont know if I would see a difference over say the

GIGABYTE GA-770T-USB3 AM3 AMD 770 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

And I also dont know if I want to buy open box either =/

Well, will you ever SLI or crossfire? If yes, then 790 for sure. If not, then the 770 should be fine.

Open box is awesome. Worst case scenario is you get a board without sata cables or a backplate. Email the manufacturer and they will either give you one for free (ASUS did for me) or sell you one for like $5.
