Need suggestions for a new build

Haven't posted here in a while, but I'm looking to build a new computer in the coming month or two to replace the one in my sig, and need some suggestions on what motherboard to use since I've kinda fallen out of the loop since my CF days. So far I'm looking at:

CPU: Core i7 920
GFX: Radeon 5850
HDD: 1TB 7200 rpm + 2TB 5400 rpm
RAM: Corsair XMS3 2x2GB kit
PSU: OCZ GameXstream 700W

If anyone can recommend me a good (hopefully cheap ) motherboard to make this happen, that would be great. And at the price point of $300~ is the 5850 worth it right now? Thanks!

I do not know enough about intel boards to make a cheap recommendation, but the 5850 is definitely worth it. Get a reference model (look for the amd logo on the x16 slot) and you can also flash it to asus 5870 bios and have 90-95% of the performance. It will basically unlock the card's overclock/overvolt limits as well as raising clocks and voltage to that of a 5870.

Just a little trick I picked up that will increase your performance and overclocking headroom.
