Hi all, new to this forums and loving them :)
I am about to build a computer and i have these parts picked out (just for a bit of information im going to be using this rig for mainly graphic design so programs such as photoshop and illustrator etc there wont really be any gaming going on):

Case:
Antec Nine Hundred
Motherboard:
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3R MB
CPU:
Intel i5-750
Monitor:
BenQ G2420HD 24.0"
Video Card:
Sapphire Radeon HD5770 1GB Vapor-X
Power Supply:
Antec 500W EarthWatts ATX Power Supply
Ram:
G.SKILL 4GB (2GB x2) PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600) 4GBRH CL7-7-7-24 RIPJAWS
Software:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Hard Drive:
Seagate 750gig SATA II 7200rpm 32MB
DVD drive:
Pioneer SATA Dual Layer Black DVD Writer

My budget is (AU)$1600 and this comes in at $1593 haha so i guess it worked out pretty nicely. If you have any part suggestions of making the total cheaper it would be nice :p

Quick question is there anything else i would have to buy if i was to build it myself?Would it be hard to build myself?(I have a pretty good knowledge of the insides of the computer :) )

Thank you for any help :D

Edit:Woops failed with the title -___- Stupid lack of sleep

Two things.

Your gonna need a i7 CPU for that motherboard. Or you need a P55 motherboard for that CPU, whichever way you want to go.

Get tri-channel RAM instead of the dual-channel you got there.

I'd opt for a better PSU but that's just me.

Apart from that everything's sweet.

EDIT:

For what your going to use this rig for i'd go with the i7 920/930 with a nice X58 motherboard.

Omg im sorry it was supposed to be the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3R MB (cheaper version)
(editing 1st post)

Here is the company im buying the products from http://www.allneeds.com.au/category166_1.htm
Which one would you suggest?how about G.SKILL 6GB (2GB x 3) PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600) NQ 9-9-9-24??
Thank you so much for your help :)

The i7 and that X58 motherboard makes it quite expensive and like way over the budget :/

Thats ok. You'll run dual-channel RAM with that board. So the G.SKILL 4GB (2GB x2) RIPJAWS will be fine.

These would be fine with an X58 motherboard. No good for the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3R.

What resolution will you be running at?

The BenQ has a 1920x1080 resolution :) Why is that?

Just wanna make sure the HD5770 will be adequate.

There's no point getting the G.SKILL 6GB (2GB x 3) cause it's tri-channel RAM, 3 X 2GB sticks, and the motherboard only supports dual channel.

To fully utilise the tri-channel RAM you'd need to move up to the X58 motherboard and 1366 CPU's.

Oh ok :)

So you reckon that is it?
