cooling fan question

I was looking on TD's website and saw this heat sink and fan assembly and was wondering how this thing would mount and not break the board? Cause it hangs out 5.5 inchs offf the processor. here is a link of the heat sink and fan.

Heatsinks cannot break the board under normal circumstances. I have a scythe orochi, Aka the biggest cooler ever, and it still does not stress it.

Meh. The Hyper N520 weighs 689 grams with the fans...

The TRU120E here weighs 790 grams without the 120mm Sharkoon.

You'll be fine and the heatsink backplate plays an important part in its secure mounting.

I have it on my sapphire 5750!

But yeah, no backplate. The amd s939 mounting system is pretty stiff on it's own, but idk about intel sockets.
