Crysis not running smoothly

As any y PC gamer can attest to, the system's lack of uniform hardware that helps distinguish it from consoles is a double-edged sword. Although a high-end PC is often capable of outperforming even the latest and greatest console tech, high-end PC games make a habit of pushing the technical envelope, which forces PC gamers to upgrade regularly in order to meet ever-escalating system requirements.

Thanks

Alex, if you are going to just copy sentences / paragraphs from other peoples sites, at least quote / reference them!

I quickly read in some forum that overclocking could be the issue? I have my processor overclocked to 3.1ghz (from 2.67). Could this be the issue?

It's possible, but it's factory OC'd, so I doubt it.

No its not, but i did use a program made by intel called: intel extreme tuning utility

Oh, huh. Usually alienwares are, since the BIOS is usually locked. Did you try running Intel Burn Test on maximum to make sure it's stable? And I'm not a fan of software OC'ing, I always use the BIOS.

well, i have ran the stress test on that program that intel supplies. everything seems to be fine, the program is capable of ocing to alot higher levels, i just set it to the minimum
