No not for me :) My friend wants one and wants my advice :)
She won't be gaming, basically for school and that stuff :) Internet, maybe LIGHT LIGHT gaming (Like the online games :D)
School stuff like Word, powerpoint and yeah.
No photo-shop just a regular laptop.
She desperately wants a 17.3in screen :D
Idk why but ok..
I recommended her this
I've been a fan of Acer, and I can't seem to get a Lenovo in this price. No she won't settle for a desktop.
What do you guys recommend?
Thanks!

Get an ASUS. You couldn't pay me to own an acer laptop.

17.3 inch screen for school?! Does she realize how hard it'll be to lug that thing around? 15 inch is more reasonable.

Yeah I was looking at that Acer (And although I'm usually against them) it was actually quite nice :)
Idk she wants 17.3 inches, idk why?
I don't think she'll be lugging it to school, just using it for projects at home etc.

EDIT:
Hmmm... This seems great.

Under $650, the Gateway will be the best bet. The Acer has a 500GB HDD...but Acer and Gateway are the same company. They're good...as far as I've experienced.

Acer and gateway are both absolutely terrible.

The brands I trust for laptops are ASUS, sony, MSI, and apple. IBM laptops were awesome, but from personal experience, lenovo is garbage. As in, worse than Dell, gateway, compaq, etc.

^ Gateway's a bit better than Acer in general...and actually their FX line is pretty sweet.

Neither one is as good as Asus or Lenovo, though.

Problem is, can you guys find me a Lenovo or Asus at that price with that monitor size?
Cause I'm having trouble.

A 17.3 inch screen totally defeats the purpose of a laptop. Meh, I've never understood it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220701 15.6 inch, but an awesome laptop.

Isn't there a way to put the money towards the CPU rather then graphics. Since she won't game at all even a 4570 is overkill.
Anything with just regular onboard so we're not wasting money on that?
Dude idk why a 17.3, she wants one, I wanna make her happy :)

Well there's always this, when it comes back in stock:

The CPU is kind of old, but the GPU is fairly good for a laptop and it even has HDMI.

However, I'd rather have this one:

Link doesn't work :(
