Monitor has a blue line! Help!

My monitor has a blue line on it. I was wondering if it's due to my video card. How do I fix this? Thanks!

It could be a sign of a failing video card. What monitor and video card are you using?

SiS Video card. Don't know the monitor, just know it's from Compaq.

Lol, yeah really old. And I run Linux Ubuntu 10.04, but it happened when I had Windows XP. It only shows up like in black areas and dark areas.
