CPU help?

so i did some research.
it shows that i have 2 cpus
in system and on task manager.

but when i used cpu z to see my prossesor
number.. its said pentium 4 (640)
and when i researched that product number.

it sounds exactly like mine. 3.20ghz
but it says its a single core..

whats going on?
is it a single core that acts like a dual or what?
its fast as hell.

You must have a hyperthreaded P4.

It will have two virtual cores per physical core.

if its fast as hell, run a benchmark like SuperPi

yea i ran occp and its good. left it running for 3 hours.

i know that ive had alot of computers.
but ive never heard of virtual core.

i mean i know vram

i might need to update my knowledge.

but this core is def faster than
most dual cores ive had.

You mean it outbenches your dual cores, or the system runs snappier, because if you mean the second, then XD.
