Fans in 360

I'm thinking of opening up my Xbox 360 since the warranty has now gone (and has already been sent back twice and been fixed) and fitting quieter fans within it, since it sounds like a jet even when the DVD drive isn't running.

Any idea on some fans that will be suitable for it and be whisper quiet but still deliver better airflow, so I can get them ready in advance?

It uses 2 40mm's at the back, correct?

If it breaks again, I will want a newer model with HDMI anyway

best video i found uses philiip and torx while your in their you should clean off all the crappy paste they put on and get some artic 5 or something

I can't really imagine 40MM heatsinks being quiet and cooling a 360. My friend has Talismoons in his 360 and if its not what I would call quiet.

I was actually gonna buy that case for mine and go liquid on it. :O

But I've never played anything other than FM2 and Halo3, so I didn't see any advantage there.

You can do it without the unlock tool. Flathead screwdrivers and small phillips, as well as torx.

Well, I do want a quieter one...
But for the price of doing that, I could probably buy a newer Xbox with HDMI which would be better suited to me anyway.

The PS3 is whisper quiet. Why can't the 360 be the same?
