how to be sure your cpu will work with a motherboard

im new to system building but not to up grading so at one point iv upgraded every thing except my cpu and mother board, that probably why it runs so well :p that being said, im sure there is a little more to the cpu working that just the sockets matching, looking to build a workstation with the
TYAN S7025WAGM2NR it has a lga 1366 socket but im unsure if i can put any just any 1366 in there, im looking at the Intel Core i7 BX80601920

there is so much noob on my face its not even funny but you got to start some were i guess

I dont know alot about building servers but it looks like it need to be of the Intel Xeon 5500 Series

It's pretty straightforward. While the socket is the same, the chipset will only support Xeon 5500 series processors.
