Hi, I just got my new VAIO CW2S1E, it seems like a cracking peice of kit but as usual Sony have filled it with an incredible amount of bloatware, I was wondering if anyone could tell me from this list what is safe to get rid of, and from experience what stuff is actually useful and I should keep.

thanks in advance,

NMonk

You should be able to remove everything. There are usually better replacements for any features that you do indeed need. I would first suggest you disable everything from the startup. Start -> RUN or Search -> MSCONFIG Disable everything from the startup except for anti-virus.

^ Remove the antivirus too, and install your own. The best free one out there is Clamwin (windows version of ClamAV), which from my experiences, catches more than Norton.
