Random Chit Chat

The 360 one has 2 player co-op, and 4 player offline vs, no online split screen online though. Hopefully the PS3 will have the 4 player offline vs.
I think I'm going to go with MW2 for now, and get BF:BC2 when I pick up SSFIV, since MW2 is only going to cost me $30. Though, would be nice to get the BF:BC2 while they still have their "limited collectors" where they give you a few free things. Anybody know if you can use these online?

* Improved Vehicle Armor - Pretty self explanatory.
* Supreme Vehicle Firepower - Additional weapon mounts for the driver.
* Vehicle Motion Sensor - Locate enemy units in proximity to vehicle.
* Tracer Dart Pistol - Attaches to any vehicle "to track, lock on, and fire rockets onto moving targets even beyond line of sight"

EDIT - Never mind, found the info.

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Limited Edition delivers six special customizations early to give players a day one advantage in multiplayer matches. Four vehicle warfare unlocks will immediately enhance the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 best-in-class online vehicle warfare experience, delivering extra firepower, radar, and armor for the vehicles. Additionally, the tracer dart attaches to any enemy vehicle and allows RPG-toting teammates to track, lock on, and destroy their adversary. Seasoned veterans of Battlefield 1943â„¢ will be able to immediately re-acquaint themselves with two classic and highly powerful weapons, the M1A1 submachine gun and the M1911 pistol.

Doesn't really seem worth it to me. Though, I wonder if you can unlock these later on.

EDIT2 - Found out you can get them later
While each of these unlocks will eventually become available to anyone who sticks with the game, their inclusion with the Limited Edition of the Bad Company 2 -- and at no extra cost -- should incentivize early adoption.

So I guess now I won't be in such a rush to get BF:BC2.

Sucks for the PS3 fat owners that uses the "Install OS feature".
The next system software update for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) system will be released on April 1, 2010 (JST), and will disable the “Install Other OS” feature that was available on the PS3 systems prior to the current slimmer models, launched in September 2009. This feature enabled users to install an operating system, but due to security concerns, Sony Computer Entertainment will remove the functionality through the 3.21 system software update.

In addition, disabling the “Other OS” feature will help ensure that PS3 owners will continue to have access to the broad range of gaming and entertainment content from SCE and its content partners on a more secure system.

Consumers and organizations that currently use the “Other OS” feature can choose not to upgrade their PS3 systems, although the following features will no longer be available;

* Ability to sign in to PlayStation Network and use network features that require signing in to PlayStation Network, such as online features of PS3 games and chat
* Playback of PS3 software titles or Blu-ray Disc videos that require PS3 system software version 3.21 or later
* Playback of copyright-protected videos that are stored on a media server (when DTCP-IP is enabled under Settings)
* Use of new features and improvements that are available on PS3 system software 3.21 or later

For those PS3 users who are currently using the “Other OS” feature but choose to install the system software update, to avoid data loss they first need to back-up any data stored within the hard drive partition used by the “Other OS,” as they will not be able to access that data following the update.

I'm not sure what that is, was it so you could install windows or linux or something?
Yeah, pretty much. Though I think it's only Linux.

What the F**k, sony?!

Is there a way to turn updates off without unplugging it from the internet?

The update is optional, though if you don't update...
