media player help

I have the K Lite media player clasic home program because it has the full codec pack with it and plays everything.

The verson is 6.4.9.1

There is now update tab so how do I update it to the newest one???

Do I have to uninstall it and look for the new verson and install it?

And what will hapen to all my settings I just did to get this player the way I like?

I've used to use K Lite codec pack. I currently use CCCP which is more refined and cleaner. It also comes with Media Player Classic. http://www.cccp-project.net/

Before I get it I need to know one thing?

The K Lite codec pack media player clasic home does one thing.

If I have a video audio feed coming into my computer through Firewire I can go to file open video capture device.

And it will show the incoming video audio and I can watch it can it do this

CCCP version will do that too. VLC also does that.

You guys should just switch to VLC, it plays everything right out of the box, no codec packs needed.

vlc never worked for me t never remembered my playlist it crashed every fue days.

CCCP version you say it comes with Media Player clasic

is this the only player it comes with?

I went to install CCCP and a screen came up saying

MKV is in the system tray and can cause prablems can we disable it.

What is MKV I don't see it in my system tray??????

The only thing in my tray is
Microsoft Ani Virus I hope they don't een it I need it

VLC does not remember the play lists or anything as such, but you can play any format with it. it is very user friendly too.try installing the new version of the VLC. and there are no additional downloads either.
