Essay idea's?

I'm horrible when it comes to deciding what topic to write about. For my one English class I've got to do some type of problem solving essay. I'm just trying to come up with a problem that will be easy to write about. The idea is to point out a problem then come up with a couple solutions to the problem then draw a basic conclusion.

Any good idea's for me?

I already started my essay now or else I probably would have wrote it about that. I'm doing it on keeping landfills out of local towns.

There is a closed landfill a few miles away from me. We can't drink the well water since it's contaminated.

Oh on another note, I'm an environmental technician that specializes in water sampling.

I would do something random that actually has a purpose. Example: compare Bigfoot to global warming.
