Setup Boot Priority Page Locked

pls forumites, i wish to get help from you. i needed to format my laptop hdd, but when i got to setup i noticed the boot priority is just stiff as i cant set my boot priority. what do u think could be the problem? pls note that other fields in setup is not locked, but that of the boot priority is just locked there. what can i do? Am using dell latitude 640c. tenx

well you could put the disk in--> restart the machine--> hit f12 --> and select cd and it will boot from the cd
