Hey guys I built a desktop a couple months ago, and I keep getting 2 stop error messages, 0x0a and 0x01a. I tried going on the microsoft support page for these with my friend who helped me build the computer and we couldn't find any real solid info on a resolution. I usually get these stop error messages when I am transferring a file (usually a big folder like my itunes) from my external hardrive to my new computer, or when i am downloading or navigating to a new web page.
Here is the components of my computer:
Antec 902 case
ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 790GX/SB750 Motherboard
VGA XFX|GS250XZDFU GTS250 1GB Graphics card
ThermalTake PSU W0117RU 750W
CPU AMD PHENOM II X4 925 AM3
MEM 2Gx2 GSKILL F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM (8GB RAM total)
HD 500G Western Digital SATA2 32M WD5000AADS
DVD BURNER LITE-ON|IHAP222-06 BK
I was running XP but we tried to see if updating to windows 7 32-bit version would help, it obviously didn't fix the stop errors. My windows 7 is a torrented one, but it operated and updates normally and haven't encountered any problems with it.
I also have AVG as my virus protection.
Any help would be much appreciated.
