I'd go with the gigabyte if you don't mind spending some money on DDR3 memory. But if you're on a budget, go with the MSI.

You pretty much get what you pay for when it comes to mobos. Atleast that is what I was always taught.

They are both good motherboards. What CPU are you planning on using?

Either will work, but the MSI will probably need a BIOS flash. The Gigabyte requires DDR3, while the MSI is DDR2. Might wanna check what you already have.

what is a bios flash?? i havent got anything els for it just getting the stuff ready

A BIOS flash is when you update the BIOS via a program provided by the manufacturer off a DOS boot drive.

Sounds complicated, but its quite simple if you have good instructions. May or may not be necessary depending on which BIOS it comes with.
