WoW Computer Build

Go with this and save yourself 50 dollars. 955 to 965 is not worth 50 dollars. 965 is basically a higher clocked 955.

I think a 4770 will do WoW just fine at highest settings and at that monitors highest resolutions. Another 50 dollars or so depending on the 4870 you wanted to get.

And that PSU is overkill as well. the gpu i picked out only requires a 450w and unless you're doing heavy overclocking 500w is all you'll ever need.

EDIT DVD drive is probably the easiest part of building it. Take a watch at this build guide. The worst part of building it is taking time out to update all the drivers.

EDIT 2 Save another 40 bucks by switching to this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130265
You'll also have to go with DDR2, which isn't bad, WoW isn't that intensive. I'd suggest this, great timings. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098

I agree with most of this post except I'd go ahead and go with the cheaper motherboard but stick with am3 + ddr3.

heh, I build my computer to be really awesome as well. I play WoW and I level people with Tripple Experice.. I've had 5 instances open at a time, me running four lower guys.

You're not going to need to do that. At most your going to dual box maybe... and you don't need but a 500$ computer for that to run awesome.

I would, however, suggest dual monitors (or even tri or quad) and playing in Windowed mode ;)

Nice sig Pooka. I do agree with the monitors. If I were playing WoW, I'd do eyefinity with 6 monitors. lol, that's gotta be fun.

All I can say to this is *facepalm*

Windows has a 'span mode' which will achieve this for dual monitors, without having to run it windowed, which will more than double your framerate.

Three or more is impossible on most video cards, as they have to have the same renderer for spanning across multiple display if 3D.

ATI Eyefinity is cool though, and lets you do three. Four is still only achieveable with matrox Dulahead2Go's plus span/eyefinity.

OR plant a big DLP TV on your desk and call it done. Six is pretty pointless.

terrible for the price.

That's helpful .

I can change the case and still keep it neat looking, while saving between 20-60$, so that I can change.

Do you guys notice anything else I could switch that would improve the price, whilst keeping its' ability to run WoW and music?

You can do that. But I don't think it's about how much screen space you have. I would just feel like I'm working the matrix with 6 monitors.
