I'm back again, and my budget has gone down, so I figured this would be the best place to ask.

I'll be using this computer for WoW, music, browsing the web, and probably a few other games down the road.

I have heard from various people that this is completely overkill for WoW, and since my budget has gone down, I was hoping people could recommend parts that are more suited to my needs. I would like to get the price to below 650$. I'll also have more money to spend later in the year, so I'll be able to upgrade it as well.

Also, does Newegg have a prebuild option? I'm kind of worried about putting it together, especially installing the DvD drive.
 
Go with this and save yourself 50 dollars. 955 to 965 is not worth 50 dollars. 965 is basically a higher clocked 955.

I think a 4770 will do WoW just fine at highest settings and at that monitors highest resolutions. Another 50 dollars or so depending on the 4870 you wanted to get.

And that PSU is overkill as well. the gpu i picked out only requires a 450w and unless you're doing heavy overclocking 500w is all you'll ever need.

EDIT DVD drive is probably the easiest part of building it. Take a watch at this build guide. The worst part of building it is taking time out to update all the drivers.

Right on man, that's exactly what I was looking for. Anyone have any input on his recommendations, or additions of their own?

It doesn't seem too bad to me, except for the small 160gb HD; would that be a viable computer? The only thing I see that I think needs immediate upgrade is a video card and HD, and it seems real cheap.
 
 
The Great thing about WoW is, the scalability. It really can be scaled down or up to utilize most systems.

I agree, drop your video card down and I would use a different Mobo. I personally am not a fan of MSI motherboards. They have burnt me in the past many times. I have read people's reviews and post saying that they are a good company now. I just can not get over the bad taste they left in my mouth.

I'm using two of those monitors that you picked I think I paid 199.00 at Best Buy for them. I really like the monitors but there are a few cons. They have a 5 second or so delay when coming out of power save mode. Its not long but it is very noticeable. Also, I personally am not impressed with how they display the color black. (Its an LCD thing) However I do like the monitors over all and would recommend them.

VINMAN have you used that ASUS board. The Nice UPS man is dropping off that board to me tomorrow, along with that same processor. Using it for a HTPC build for my Father.
 
 
Your not doing workstation work. It's gaming and productivity work (word, IE, etc)...if you're not playing crysis, the intel build is a waste. remember he scaled down your HD to a caviar green (the slowest in the caviar line), the case sucks. No point in getting DDR3 and icore processor if your HDD is gonna be caviar green. In terms of gaming, AMD is a great rig to go. I have an AMD build, works amazing with what you want it to do. If you're going to throw Telsa cards in there and start doing video rendering, a get a bigger budget and b get icore. Otherwise, I love intel, my coming rig is intel...but AMD is the budget master. It's what you need and you can get a jack more load of performance for the cost.
 
listen, intel is great. but in my opinion, playing WoW and using word and then buying a new intel build is overkill. AMD will perform just as well or better for half the price. the i3 is a dual core and the the 955 is a quad core with a much faster clock. and again, WoW is not intensive at the least bit. DDR2 is all he needs. If he wants DDR3 OP can keep the original mobo he picked out. DDR3 is faster, but I play with DDR2 on my build and it's more than enough.

That gpu is also more than WoW needs. he's trying to keep budget
