Short wheel base or long wheel base?

Not being funny (or offending your driving skillz ), but if you aren't confident with a longer vehicle, then would you be confident with the extra power that came with it?

That said, if you really wana go camping with it, SWB is the thing to have. It can get places most vehicles can't.

Yes, but if you are planning on doing anything major, you'll also risk rolling it easier and getting stuck easier.

Get the LWB and make some mods to it. Get yourself a winch, install a roll cage, bucket/racing seats & 5 point harnesses. Some decent times. And then have some fun.

SWB would get stuck less easily actually... That's why little trucks, broncos, k5 blazers and so on are better for offroading.

That being said, both are so small, get the long wheel base one, it's still pretty damn small.

A SWB would be better for maneuvering though. That's why Broncos and Jeeps are great for plow truck vs big 8ft bed trucks because they have a short turning radius.

Enough. Both are running 4 bangers. Looking more into what they are, the LWB is the better choice here. I thought it was bigger at first.

Well the LWB says it's a 2 liter, the SWB says 1.3 liter. Considering the LWB isn't THAT much larger, I'd say there would probably be a fair bit of difference in "grunting" power (getting moving while stuck or keeping moving while truding though mud or snow)

The SWB looks like it has skinnier tires which helps with the lack of power in keeping moving. The LWB probably has a good 500 LBS on it too. I'd say they are pretty similar, though the LWB is most likely the more powerful.

Depends on what terrain you are on though. Fatter tires spread out the vehicles weight better. Once moving, sure, skinnier tires may have some benefit, but not if you are stuck and not moving. They'll just cut into whatever you are driving on (snow/mud)...
