helpppppp virus attack

hello i have downloaded some thing on my pc first off it came up with a vista window saying i was infected and to buy some software. i have tried to use a restore point but when i click on the icon its asking me to open the apropriate program for this but also when i click on anything on my desktop e mails etc its asking me the same helpp please

malwarebytes is usually more effective. This is a fake antivirus, I've had to deal with quite a few of them on my brother's computer.

You may have to go into safe mode to download/install it. If so, hit F8 as the system is booting and select 'safe mode with networking' then download, install, and run.
